With great enthusiasm, the Famiglia Mezzero has brought another of its dreams to life: the opening of a restaurant that elevates and honors the essence of traditional Portuguese cuisine, with special emphasis on codfish.
Over the years, one question always comes up: “Where can I enjoy a good codfish dish?” Well, inaugurated in August 2021, the restaurant Cais do Bacalhau, located in Cais de Gaia Porto, promises to become your new haven. With two floors and a rustic, intimate atmosphere, the space offers a privileged view over the poetic waters of the Douro River or, as we like to say, “a breathtaking landscape.”
Created by experienced chefs, the Cais do Bacalhau menu ranges from appetizers to main courses, bringing together traditional Portuguese specialties with a contemporary touch, always focusing on the use of fresh, regional ingredients. The true highlight is codfish, served in 11 different ways, prepared to win over every palate.
